Leslie Welsch is a registered dietitian and certified-dietitian-nutritionist with a Masters in Medical Biology Nutrition. She has over 15 years of experience working with diabetes, weight management, and cardiovascular disease. Leslie received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Delaware and completed her dietetic internship at C.W. Post, Long Island University while simultaneously working on her Masters degree. Leslie’s thesis focused on diabetes management, which earned her the Outstanding Graduate Student in Nutrition award. Leslie began working in the hospital setting and on also began working with patients privately in an outpatient setting at a physician’s office. She developed a strong interest in working with people with diabetes and this led her to become a Certified Diabetes Educator. After completing this certification Leslie began her own private practice in Huntington, New York as a Registered Dietitian and diabetes educator; she has maintained this practice for the past ten years. In addition to her private practice, Leslie has consulted for the Personal Training Institute, has written for Self Magazine, and worked for Weight Watcher’s to update their nutrient database.
Leslie is excited to be a part of the Fit4D coaching team. She strives to make a difference in the lives of others living with diabetes. She joins Fit4D in order to reach and help many more individuals living with diabetes.
