Maria’s interest is in providing individuals who have chronic conditions with the skills and resources that they need that lead to permanent behavioral changes that improve health. “The most rewarding part of working in the health and wellness industry is watching when a client who I’ve been educating – whether it’s type 1 or type 2 diabetes achieve their goals. I take pleasure in that armed with the right information and resources, people with diabetes, or any other chronic disease, can manage their disease instead of the other way around.”
